Genesis 3:5

Genesis 3:5

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

The serpent's temptation appealed to pride — the desire to be like God apart from God. This is the root of all sin: wanting to be in charge instead of trusting God.

Memory phrase: Wanting to be like God the wrong way.

Talk about it: Have you ever wanted something so much that you forgot it might not be good for you?

Prayer: God, help me trust that Your way is better than my own ideas.
