Bible Commentary

Genesis 5:17

The drumbeat continues. Even a name that means 'praise of God' could not stop the march of death. The reader is now well into the pattern — something extraordinary must come to break it.

Memory phrase: Death cannot stop God.

Talk about it: Did God's plan stop when people died?

Prayer: God, I trust Your plan.
