Genesis 5:31 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Genesis 5:31

The refrain returns one final time before Noah. Lamech, who had hoped Noah would bring rest, did not live to see the flood — he died five years before it came. God's plan of rest came, but in God's way and God's time.

Memory phrase: Trust God's way.

Talk about it: What do you do when you have to wait for something?

Prayer: God, I trust You even when I wait.
