Bible Commentary

Genesis 7:14

The comprehensive listing serves to emphasize the totality of God's saving work. Nothing that needed to be saved was left out. The ark was an astonishing vessel of life in the middle of death.

Memory phrase: Every kind of life was saved.

Talk about it: What do you think the inside of the ark sounded like with all those animals?

Prayer: God, You save completely. Thank You that Your saving love leaves nothing out.
