Genesis 7:16 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Genesis 7:16

Four of the most important words in the chapter: 'the LORD shut him in.' God sealed the ark. Noah did not close himself in — God did. This means no human error could compromise the seal. God's salvation is secured by God Himself.

Memory phrase: God shut them in safely.

Talk about it: What does it mean that GOD shut the door — and not Noah?

Prayer: God, thank You that You hold me safe. I can't slip out of Your hands.
