Eight people — a number associated with new beginnings in later biblical tradition. Noah stepped out first, leading his family. The one who had gone in first now led the way out. Leadership through the storm.
Memory phrase: Noah led the way.
Talk about it: What do you think it felt like to step onto dry ground after all those months on the ark?
Prayer: God, help me to lead my family well — into good and right things.
