Genesis 9:4

Genesis 9:4

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

The prohibition against eating blood establishes a foundational principle: life is sacred because it comes from God. Blood is the symbol of life, and to eat it would be to treat life casually. This rule runs all through Scripture, pointing to the preciousness of all life.

Memory phrase: Life is sacred to God.

Talk about it: Why do you think God said blood is special and should not be eaten?

Prayer: God, help me to treat all life with respect because it comes from You.
