Genesis 9:13

Genesis 9:13

The 'bow' is the same word as a warrior's bow — an instrument of war. God hangs His bow in the clouds as a sign of peace, as if saying: 'I have put down My weapon. I will not destroy. This is a sign of peace between Me and the earth.'

Memory phrase: The rainbow is God's peace sign.

Talk about it: A bow was used for war and fighting. What does it mean that God hung His bow up in the sky?

Prayer: God, when I see a rainbow, I will remember Your promise and trust You.
