Genesis 9:26

Genesis 9:26

The blessing is not on Shem himself first — it is on 'the LORD God of Shem.' Shem's honor pointed back to God, not to himself. True honor and faithfulness always glorifies God. And from Shem's line would come Abraham, David, and ultimately Jesus.

Memory phrase: Honor blesses God and those who follow Him.

Talk about it: When Noah said 'blessed be the Lord God of Shem,' what does that tell you about how Shem's choices reflected his faith?

Prayer: God, may my choices bring glory to You and blessing to my family.
