Genesis 10:8

Genesis 10:8

Nimrod represents the human impulse toward power and empire-building — strength used for self-glorification rather than God's glory. He is the first in a line of great human rulers who build empires in their own name.

Memory phrase: True greatness serves God, not itself.

Talk about it: What is the difference between being great for God and being great for yourself?

Prayer: God, I want to be great in Your eyes — not in my own eyes or in the world's eyes. Help me serve You.
