Genesis 11:28

Haran's early death is quietly devastating — a father outliving a son, in the land of their birth. This grief may be part of what sets Terah moving. The biblical text does not explain, but the loss is noted with sensitivity.

Prayer: God, when people I love are hurting, help me stay close to them — just as You stay close to the broken-hearted.
