Matthew 5:10 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Matthew 5:10

Persecution for righteousness means suffering because of one's allegiance to God and His ways. Jesus assures His followers that this costly faithfulness is not lost on God — the kingdom itself is their reward.

Memory phrase: Stand for right — heaven is yours

Talk about it: Has anyone ever made fun of you for doing the right thing? What did you do?

Prayer: Jesus, help me keep doing what is right even when it is hard. Thank You that heaven belongs to people who trust You.
