Matthew 5:30

Matthew 5:30

Continuing the hyperbole from verse 29, Jesus extends the principle to actions and habits. The call is to deal decisively with sinful behaviours — no matter how natural or comfortable they feel — before they lead to greater destruction.

Memory phrase: Nothing is worth losing God

Talk about it: If something you were doing was hurting your friendship with God, what would you do?

Prayer: Jesus, help me stop doing things that take me away from You. You are worth everything.
