Matthew 5:34

Jesus calls His followers to such complete honesty that they need no oaths to back up their words. A disciple's simple word should be completely trustworthy.

Memory phrase: Be so honest you need no oath

Talk about it: If you always told the truth, would anyone need to ask you to promise?

Prayer: God, help me be so trustworthy that my 'yes' always means yes and my 'no' always means no.
