Matthew 7:24 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Matthew 7:24

This is the hinge verse of the parable. Hearing is not enough. The wise person is defined by doing. Building on rock = hearing + obeying Jesus' teaching.

Memory phrase: Hear and do — build on rock

Talk about it: What is the difference between hearing something and actually doing it?

Prayer: Jesus, help me not just hear Your words but truly do them. I want to build my life on You.
