Bible Commentary

Matthew 7:28

The crowd's reaction to the Sermon on the Mount was astonishment. Jesus' teaching was different from anything they had heard — it had life, authority, and power.

Memory phrase: They were astonished

Talk about it: Has a Bible verse ever amazed you or surprised you? Which one?

Prayer: Jesus, when I read Your words, fill me with wonder. Let me never get bored of what You say.
