The 'reproof of life' is correction that leads to life — the kind that comes from God, from Scripture, from wise friends and teachers. The ear that hears this and responds belongs to someone who belongs among the wise. Receiving correction is the door to wisdom's community.
Memory phrase: Hear correction. Join the wise.
Talk about it: What does it mean to really hear a correction?
Prayer: God, help me hear and heed correction.
