Proverbs 17:24

Proverbs 17:24

The wise person has the ability to perceive wisdom close at hand — in the present moment, in Scripture, in the counsel of those around them. The fool, by contrast, is distracted — always looking to the distant horizon for something elusive, never noticing the wisdom that is present and available. Wisdom requires attentiveness to the near and the now, not a restless search for something over the horizon.

Memory phrase: Wisdom is right here.

Talk about it: Why does a fool always look far away for wisdom?

Prayer: God, open my eyes to wisdom around me today.
