Proverbs 24:16

Proverbs 24:16

This is one of Proverbs' most encouraging verses. Righteousness is not defined by the absence of failure — it is defined by the persistence of rising. Seven times represents completeness: even through every possible failure, the just person rises again. This stands in vivid contrast to the wicked, whose fall is permanent.

Memory phrase: Fall down. Get back up.

Talk about it: What does it mean that a good person gets back up every time they fall?

Prayer: God, when I fall, help me always get back up again.
