The picture of the neglected field is vivid and complete: thorns, nettles, a broken wall. Laziness does not simply produce nothing — it produces damage, ruin, and overgrowth. Neglect has real, tangible consequences.
Memory phrase: Neglect grows thorns.
Talk about it: What happens to a garden when nobody takes care of it? What does that teach us?
Prayer: God, help me be faithful with the things You have given me to care for.
