Psalms 23

Psalms 23 — Overview

David describes God as his shepherd — providing rest, guidance, protection, and blessing. The most beloved psalm in all Scripture.

God is our shepherd. He takes care of us, guides us, and will always be with us.

This may be the most memorised passage in all Scripture. Walk through each image with your child: a shepherd leads, feeds, protects. God does all of this for us. v4 is a perfect verse for children who experience fear — they can say it aloud.

When you are scared, lonely, or worried, you can say: 'God is my shepherd. He is with me.'
