Psalms 22:6

The psalmist (and Jesus, by fulfilment) descends to the lowest point of human shame. Being treated as a 'worm' — less than human — is the depth of humiliation. Jesus was mocked, spat upon, and treated as worthless at the cross.

Memory phrase: Jesus took our shame so we are precious to God.

Talk about it: Has anyone ever made you feel small or worthless? What does God say about how much you are worth?

Prayer: Jesus, You were treated as worthless so that I would always be precious to God. Thank You.
