The psalm pivots to creation — God formed the psalmist's inmost being (kidneys were thought to be the seat of deep emotion) and knitted him together in the womb. God was present at our very beginning.
Memory phrase: God made me — even in the womb.
Talk about it: Did you know God was watching over you even before you were born? How does that make you feel?
Prayer: Lord, You were there before I was born, making me carefully. Thank You for forming me with Your own hands.
