The Garden City

The Bible starts in a Garden and ends in a City. God isn't going to scrap the world; He's going to redeem it. If you think Heaven is just floating on clouds, you're missing the best part. Read this. 👇

"Then I saw 'a new heaven and a new earth'... I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God." () How does the Bible begin? In a Garden (Eden). How does the Bible end?

In a City (New Jerusalem). Imagine a Garden. It is natural, God-made, beautiful. Imagine a City. It is cultured, man-made (buildings, art, community). The story of the Bible is not that we "fly away to heaven" and leave earth behind.

The story is that Heaven comes down to Earth . God restores the world. The End is not a blank white room with harps. The End is a Garden City . It has the nature of Eden (Tree of Life, River). It has the culture of the City (Gates, Architecture, Nations).

This validates your work now . Because we aren't just waiting for the destruction of the earth; we are waiting for its Restoration . The best music, the best architecture, the best culture—it will be redeemed and purified in the New City.

We are practicing for the Great civilization of God.

Digging Deeper

This corrects Gnostic Escapism . Many Christians sing "I'll fly away," thinking the physical world is bad. But Romans 8 says creation itself is "groaning" to be liberated, not destroyed. God likes matter.

He invented it. He became it (Incarnation). He resurrected it. He will restore it. We look forward to a tangible, touchable eternity where "The dwelling of God is with men" (Rev 21:3). Reflect on this: Does your view of Heaven bore you?

(Sitting on a cloud forever?). That's because you are imagining a ghost life. Imagine the best meal, the best reunion, the best work, and the best adventure you've ever had—multiplied by infinity, without the presence of sin.

That is the Garden City. That is worth dying for. 👣 Take a Step Action: The Heaven Anchor. When you feel overwhelmed by the ugliness of this world (news, war, sickness), read . Remind yourself: "This is not the end of the movie.

The restoration is coming."
