The Green Poison

Envy is drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. If you spend your life looking at someone else's lane, you will crash in your own. Learn the ultimate cure for comparison today. ๐Ÿ‘‡

"Saul was very angry... 'They have credited David with tens of thousands,' he thought, 'but me with only thousands.' And from that time on Saul kept a close eye on David." () Imagine you are running a race in your own lane.

You are running fast. You are doing great. But then you look to your left. You see another runner in the next lane. He is a little bit faster than you. His shoes are nicer. The crowd is cheering louder for him.

What happens to you? You stumble. You lose your rhythm. You stop enjoying the run completely. You didn't actually get slower; you just got Envious . Envy is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

It instantly kills your joy. You were perfectly happy with your car, until you saw your neighbor's new SUV. You were happy with your job, until you saw your friend get a promotion. Comparison is a thief.

It whispers the lie that God is holding out on you. King Saul literally lost his mind and his kingdom because he couldn't handle David's success. He spent his life chasing David instead of leading his own country.

If you focus on someone else's lane, you will crash in your own.
