Genesis 1:8 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Genesis 1:8

God names the sky Heaven — the same word used for where God dwells. The second day completes, and the rhythm of creation continues. Every day of creation points toward its Maker.

Memory phrase: God called the sky Heaven.

Talk about it: Do you know that Heaven is where God lives? What do you think it looks like?

Prayer: God, You live in Heaven and You also made the sky above me. Thank You for being both high and near.
