Genesis 3:20 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Genesis 3:20

Even in the middle of judgment, Adam named his wife with hope — 'Eve' means 'life.' Adam trusted God's promise that life would continue. Faith looks forward even in hard times.

Memory phrase: Hope lives even in hard times.

Talk about it: Why do you think Adam gave his wife a name that means 'life' right after such a hard moment?

Prayer: God, thank You for giving us hope even when things are hard.
