Genesis 4:9 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Genesis 4:9

Cain lied to God — which is impossible, since God knows everything. His dismissive question 'Am I my brother's keeper?' reveals a heart that refused responsibility for others.

Memory phrase: We are meant to care for each other.

Talk about it: Cain lied to God. Why is it better to tell the truth even when we have made a mistake?

Prayer: God, help me always tell the truth, even when I have done something wrong.
