Bible Commentary

Genesis 7:22

The 'breath of life' is the same phrase from Genesis 2:7 and 7:15 — God's gift of life to creation. The flood ended that breath for everything outside the ark. Inside, that same breath continued.

Memory phrase: Life came from God. Life returns to Him.

Talk about it: What makes a living thing alive? Who gave that life?

Prayer: God, thank You for the breath in my body. I give my life to You.
