Genesis 8:8

Genesis 8:8

The dove is more purposeful than the raven — Noah sent her specifically to check the ground. The dove needs dry land to rest and find food. She is a precise, gentle instrument of hope.

Memory phrase: The dove goes out to find hope.

Talk about it: Why did Noah use a dove to check for dry ground? What kind of bird would be good at that?

Prayer: God, help me to look for signs of Your goodness and peace.
