Nineveh becomes the capital of the Assyrian Empire — one of the most powerful and feared empires in biblical history. Yet God loved even Nineveh enough to send a prophet (Jonah) to call them to repentance.
Memory phrase: God loves every city and every people.
Talk about it: Do you know the story of Jonah? He was sent to Nineveh — which was built right here!
Prayer: God, You loved even the fierce, powerful city of Nineveh. Help me remember that You love every city and every person.
