Genesis 10:24 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Genesis 10:24

This short verse is one of the most significant in the genealogy — it bridges Shem to Eber and thus to Hebrew identity. The line from Noah to Abraham is narrowing.

Memory phrase: God is getting His plan ready one step at a time.

Talk about it: How does knowing that 'Hebrew' comes from 'Eber' make you think about the Israelites in the Bible?

Prayer: God, Your plan unfolds one step at a time. Help me trust each step of my own story.
