Bible Commentary

Genesis 10:25

The name Peleg (division) is a marker pointing to Genesis 11 — the dispersion at Babel. This verse is a narrative clue: the division of the nations is coming, and Peleg's lifetime is when it happened.

Memory phrase: God divides and arranges all nations according to His plan.

Talk about it: What do you think 'the earth was divided' in Peleg's time means? Look out for Genesis 11!

Prayer: God, even when things are divided and broken, You have a plan. Help me trust You when things divide.
