Genesis 11:7

'Let us go down' echoes the 'let us make' of Genesis 1:26 — the plural of the Trinity consulting and acting together. God's response to Babel is decisive and surgical: disrupt the one thing that makes their unified pride possible — their common language.

Memory phrase: God acts decisively to protect us from our own pride.

Talk about it: Why do you think God used 'us' — 'let us go down'? Who is the 'us'?

Prayer: God, when I am going down a wrong road, please intervene — even if it is uncomfortable. I want to go Your way.
