Genesis 11:8

The scattering the people feared and tried to prevent was actually God's commission — 'fill the earth' (Genesis 9:1). Their disobedience was turned by God into the fulfilment of His plan. God has a way of bringing His purposes about even through human failure.

Memory phrase: God's purposes cannot be stopped — even by our failures.

Talk about it: Why did the people fear being scattered? Was being scattered actually a bad thing?

Prayer: God, even when I fail or run from Your plan, You still work it out. Thank You for never giving up on Your purposes.
