Genesis 13:8

Abram initiates peacemaking. He has the power and the right to assert authority over Lot — but he leads with love and relationship. 'We be brethren' — we are family — is the foundation of his appeal. Peacemaking begins with remembering what connects us, not with asserting what divides us.

Memory phrase: Peacemakers start by remembering they are family.

Talk about it: Abram said 'we are brothers!' to stop the fighting. What is the best way to stop a fight with someone you love?

Prayer: God, help me be a peacemaker — starting with the people I love most. Help me remember what connects us rather than what divides us.
