Matthew 5:22

Matthew 5:22

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

Jesus traces violence back to its root: uncontrolled anger and contemptuous speech. The heart that harbours rage or uses words to destroy others is already in dangerous territory before any physical action occurs.

Memory phrase: Angry words hurt — speak kindly

Talk about it: Have you ever said something that hurt someone's feelings? How did it make you feel after?

Prayer: Jesus, help me control my anger and never use my words to hurt someone. Tame my heart and my tongue.
