Matthew 5:21

Matthew 5:21

Jesus begins a series of contrasts between the traditional understanding of the Law and His deeper interpretation. The prohibition against murder is widely known — but Jesus is about to take it deeper.

Memory phrase: Do not harm one another

Talk about it: Why do you think God cares so much about people being safe and not being hurt?

Prayer: God, help me never hurt anyone with my hands, my words, or my heart.
