Matthew 9:1 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Matthew 9:1

After being asked to leave the Gadarene region, Jesus returned to Capernaum — which Matthew calls 'his own city'. Jesus does not force Himself on those who reject Him, but He keeps going to those who will receive Him.

Memory phrase: Jesus keeps coming back

Talk about it: Jesus left when people asked Him to. What does that tell you about how He treats people's choices?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for coming back again and again. Even when I fail, You don't give up on me.
