Matthew 9:2 | DiscipleDeck

Bible Commentary

Matthew 9:2

Jesus addresses the man's spiritual condition before his physical one. 'Son' is a term of warm affection. He also acknowledged the faith of those who brought him — intercession matters.

Memory phrase: Cheer up — sins forgiven

Talk about it: Why do you think Jesus forgave the man's sins before He healed his body?

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for forgiving my sins. That is the best kind of healing. Help me believe it.
