Matthew 9:11

Matthew 9:11

The Pharisees used meals as a sorting system: eating with someone meant accepting them. To eat with sinners was, in their view, to endorse sinfulness. But Jesus was operating by a different logic entirely.

Memory phrase: Jesus eats with sinners by design

Talk about it: The Pharisees were upset that Jesus ate with 'bad' people. Do you ever avoid certain people? Why?

Prayer: Lord, help me not look down on people who are still finding their way to You. Help me see them like You do.
