Matthew 9:14

Matthew 9:14

Fasting was a regular practice of devout Jews and John's disciples. Jesus' disciples seemed to stand out by not practising it — at least not in the same way. This question leads to one of Jesus' most memorable teaching images.

Memory phrase: Different seasons call for different responses

Talk about it: Have you ever wondered why different Christians do things differently? What is most important about how we follow Jesus?

Prayer: Lord, help me understand what season I am in with You and how to respond to You well in it.
