Matthew 9:15

Matthew 9:15

Jesus uses the image of a wedding feast — a symbol of great joy. His presence with the disciples was a season of rejoicing. He was pointing, quietly, toward His coming death when fasting would be fitting.

Memory phrase: Rejoice while the Groom is here

Talk about it: What image does Jesus use to describe Himself? What does it mean that Jesus is like a bridegroom?

Prayer: Jesus, You are with me now through Your Spirit. Help me celebrate Your presence every day.
