Proverbs 19:19

Chronic anger produces recurring consequences. The warning here is also directed at helpers: rescuing a wrathful person from consequences without addressing the root anger does not help them — it enables them. Real help addresses the heart, not just the situation. Repeated rescuing of an unchanged person is futile, even harmful to them.

Memory phrase: Anger brings trouble again.

Talk about it: Why does rescuing an angry person over and over not really help them?

Prayer: God, help me deal with anger before it deals with me.
