Psalms 22:19

The turn begins here — from lament back to petition, from describing suffering to crying out for rescue. 'But be not far from me' echoes v11 — the refrain of desperate faith. And now God is called 'my strength' — confidence returning.

Memory phrase: God, You are my strength — come quickly!

Talk about it: Why do hard times often make us call out to God more urgently? Is that a bad thing?

Prayer: God, when I am at the end of my strength, You are the one I run to. Please come quickly.
